Micro-Camera Pill to be Tested on Humans
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved human testing of a new pill created by Israeli Givun Imaging Company, that quickly diagnoses intestinal diseases, YEDIOT AHARONOT reported. The pill contains a micro-camera that photographs the digestion progress emitted naturally from the body. It is supposed to replace the usual tests, which are more painful and sometimes do not identify all of the different diseases.
The human testing of the pill will be conducted at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York and Assaf Harofeh Hospital in Israel.
