ZOA EXPRESSES HORROR AND OUTRAGE AT ASSASSINATION OF PRIME MINISTER RABIN

NEW YORK - The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) has expressed its horror and outrage at the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.

"The ZOA is horrified by this shocking and brutal crime," said ZOA National President Morton A. Klein. "We extend our deepest condolences to Mrs. Rabin, to the other members of the Rabin family, and to the entire nation of Israel."

ZOA representatives will attend the prime minister's funeral in Israel, on Monday.

The ZOA president added: "At this time of deep mourning, we reaffirm the need for Jews in Israel and the Diaspora to resolve all political and ideological issues through peaceful debate and dialogue, never through violence. We know all too well, from Jewish history, the bitter consequences of Jews using violence against one another."
